NRG Tank from Vaporesso

The NRG tank is the newest tank from Vaporesso, and supports both traditional cotton coils, and the innovative Ccell ceramic coils.  The ceramic coils are notable, as they provide an increasingly even heating process and better flavour! There are also 5 different NRG GT Core coils available, made for the NRG that are available in variant wattages and designed to produce massive clouds.

With the new NRG tank there is also an increased 5ml juice capacity for this tank, more than any other tank from Vaporesso. With the 5ml juice capacity, this tank offers one of the largest juice capacities for sub-ohm tanks on the market and also utilizes a new top fill refill technique, with an easy slide and fill design. The dimensions are 2-3/16" x 15/16" (Including Drip Tip and Threads) and the length and diameter are 56mm/26.5mm. The weight of the NRG tank is 66g, and the tank has stainless steel construction.  As well, this tank features dual bottom airflow slots, which are adjustable using a bottom ring.

A unique feature of this tank is its proprietary wide bore mesh drip tip which is designed to minimize spit-back. This feature is common on RDAs, but this is one of the first sub-ohm tanks to utilize this concept.  A feature that is unique to Vaporesso’s NRG tank is the bottom heat insulation layer below the base of the tank, to provide a safer and more comfortable vaping experience.   The NRG tank has a 510 thread making it compatible with the majority of devices.

The NRG tank utilizes the GT Coil Family which produces massive flavour and vapour. They are similar to the SMOK Beast Coils which are also compatible in the NRG Tank. The NRG GT Coil Family is designed for variable wattage (NOT compatible with temperature control modes). The Vaporesso NRG Sub-Ohm Tank goes "Above and Beyond" tanks on the market!

The Vaporesso NRG Tank will satisfy vapers looking for a direct to lung ("DTL") draw.  Direct to lung inhale is drawing in the vapour directly to lungs similar to smoking a shisha or hookah as opposed to a traditional cigarette. The vapour is dense, produces big clouds and is commonly referred to as “sub-ohm vaping”. Sub-ohm can be defined as a coil that is below 1.0ohm.The higher density vapour will give a more intense throat hit so it’s important to reduce the level of nicotine to 3-6mg or it may be too strong. Also it’s good to take into consideration the VG/PG (Vegetable Glycerin/Propylene Glycol) consistency of your e-liquid.  It’s best to use an e-liquid that has a lower PG ratio and a higher VG ratio.  PG provides a harsher throat hit, while VG adds to vapour density.

This tank includes one Vaporesso NRG Sub-tank, pre-installed with a GT8 0.15ohm coil, and an additional GT4 0.15ohm coil as well.  Also included is the proprietary 14mm bore Delrin mesh drip tip, and a 510 drip tip adapter.  There is also a spare Pyrex glass, and o-rings included as well.

The coils made for this tank that are available are the GT Cores, and the VW is as follows:

  • GT2: 0.4ohms, 40-80W; recommended wattage is 55-65W
  • GT4: 0.15ohms, 40-130W; recommended wattage is 45-60W
  • GT6: 0.2ohms, 40-130W; recommended wattage is 70-90W
  • GT8: 0.15ohms, 50-110W; recommended wattage is 60-80W
  • GT cCell (ceramic), 0.3 ohms, 25-40W
